Piotr Kardas

He works one-to-one with men who have prostate cancer, and with survivors after treatment. The work is calm, personal, and unhurried, built around where you are.

Prostate Cancer Exercise Specialist · Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist

Background

Prostate cancer changes how the body feels. Many men say hormone therapy leaves them drained, and not quite themselves. Piotr Kardas works one-to-one with men in exactly that position, and with survivors after treatment.

He built this practice around a simple idea. Men living with prostate cancer deserve specialist, supervised exercise that fits their life, not a generic class. The work is calm. It is personal, and unhurried.

Every man he works with gets Piotr himself, for the whole session. No classes. No handed-off plans. Sessions run one of two ways: online by video call anywhere in the UK, or as a home visit in London or Surrey, arranged with Piotr and priced for your circumstances.

Piotr delivers specialist exercise rehabilitation for men with prostate cancer, at a world-leading NHS cancer centre, as a clinical exercise physiologist. That grounding is why his private practice stays cautious, structured and specialist, rather than a general fitness offer.

How he works

Proven methods, adapted to your stage.

Piotr starts by listening. Your diagnosis, your treatment, how daily life feels now. From there he builds a supervised, one-to-one plan, and adapts it as you go. He chooses the methods for each person, rather than following an off-the-shelf routine. None is applied by rote.

“Offer people who are starting or having androgen deprivation therapy supervised resistance and aerobic exercise at least twice a week for 12 weeks to reduce fatigue and improve quality of life.”

NICE guideline NG131, recommendation 1.4.19

Supervised exercise has been shown to reduce fatigue and improve quality of life (NICE NG131). Piotr's role is to deliver that supervision safely, and to keep it personal.

01

Weight and resistance training

Progressive strength work leads the programme. It is introduced gradually, matched to your body, and progressed with Piotr as you go.

02

Aerobic exercise

Steady, paced work that sits alongside the strength training, in the shape the national guideline describes for men on hormone therapy.

03

Pilates

Adapted Pilates, shaped to your stage and to how you feel from week to week.

04

Qigong and Tai Chi

Gentle, balance-led movement for the days when treatment makes heavier work feel out of reach.
