Effective from 1 October 2026
Who this statement is from: Piotr Kardas, trading as HealthySwitch.Me (a sole trader), of 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF ("we", "us", "our", or "Piotr").
What it covers: the website at healthyswitch.me (the "Website"), and the way we deliver our service (the "Service") to you, whether online across the UK by video call, or in person at your home, as a home visit within London or Surrey, as described in our Terms of Service.
We want everyone to be able to use this Website and take part in the Service comfortably, including people who use assistive technology such as a screen reader, screen magnifier, or voice control, and people who navigate with a keyboard rather than a mouse. This statement explains how accessible things are at the moment, what to do if you meet a barrier, and how to ask us for a different format or for an adjustment to the Service itself.
1. Our commitment
1.1 We are working towards meeting the international accessibility standard known as WCAG 2.2 level AA (the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at the AA level). This is the benchmark commonly used to judge whether a website is accessible.
1.2 We describe the Website below as partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. "Partially conformant" means that most of the Website meets the standard, but some parts do not yet fully meet it. We are honest about this rather than claiming full conformance, and section 4 lists the limitations we currently know about.
1.3 Accessibility is not only about the Website. We also aim to make the Service itself accessible, and we will make reasonable adjustments to the way sessions are arranged and delivered so that you can take part. Section 6 explains how to ask.
2. The legal basis for this statement
2.1 As a provider of a service to the public, we have a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments so that a disabled person is not placed at a substantial disadvantage compared with someone who is not disabled. That duty is anticipatory, which means we think ahead about the adjustments people may need, rather than waiting to be asked.
2.2 This statement, and the standard we are working towards, are how we put that duty into practice for the Website and the Service. This is something we do voluntarily and as a matter of good practice; we are not a public-sector body, and this statement is not made under the separate accessibility rules that apply only to public-sector websites.
2.3 Nothing in this statement reduces any right you have under the Equality Act 2010 or any other law.
3. How accessible this Website is
3.1 We have designed and built the Website with accessibility in mind. Among other things, we aim to:
- use clear, plain language and a readable layout;
- structure pages with proper headings so they can be navigated with assistive technology;
- provide text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images;
- allow the main content to be reached and operated using a keyboard;
- maintain sufficient colour contrast between text and its background;
- let text be resized or the page zoomed without content being lost or overlapping; and
- avoid content that relies on colour alone to convey meaning.
3.2 Our self-assessment found that most of the Website meets WCAG 2.2 level AA on the points above. Because some parts do not yet fully meet the standard, we describe the Website as partially conformant. The next section sets out the limitations we are aware of.
4. Known limitations
4.1 We are aware that the parts of the Website listed below may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. We are working to improve them, and if any of these cause you difficulty, please contact us using the details in section 7, and we can help you directly.
4.2 The known limitations are:
- Booking and payment. The booking calendar and checkout use a third-party booking and payment tool. Parts of that tool are provided by another company, and we do not control every element of its design, so some of it may not fully meet the standard. Our self-assessment found, for example, that a few controls on the booking page are not fully labelled for screen readers, and that the booking page does not show this Website's usual navigation. If you have any difficulty booking or paying online, contact us using the details in section 7, and we can help you complete your booking directly by email, within the response times set out there. An assisted booking follows the same steps and confirmations as booking online, including the same pre-contract information and, where you ask for your sessions to begin within the fourteen-day cancellation period, the same early-start request and confirmation described in our Cooling-off Notice.
- Contrast. In a few places, text set over a photograph, and the borders of some form fields and buttons, may not have enough contrast against their background to meet the standard. If any text or control is hard to see, contact us and we can send you the same information by email.
- Keyboard access, focus and page structure. On small screens, some wide tables in our legal pages cannot yet be scrolled using a keyboard alone; the focus outline is faint in the page footer; and the headings in the page footer, and on one other page, skip a level. If any of these gets in your way, contact us using the details in section 7 and we can send you the content in another format.
4.3 This list reflects our current self-assessment and will be updated as we make improvements or become aware of further issues.
5. Asking for information in a different format
5.1 If you need anything on this Website, or any document we provide, in a different format, please ask. Depending on what you need, we may be able to provide, for example:
- plain-text or large-print versions of a page or document;
- the content explained to you in writing by email; or
- another reasonable format that suits you.
5.2 To request an alternative format, contact us using the details in section 7. Please tell us the page or document you need and the format that would help. We aim to respond within five (5) working days, and we will agree a realistic timescale with you if preparing the format will take longer.
6. Asking for an adjustment to the Service
6.1 The duty to make reasonable adjustments applies to the Service as well as to the Website. If any part of how we arrange or deliver sessions would make it harder for you to take part, please tell us and we will look at what we can reasonably change. This might include, for example:
- adjusting how an online video session is set up, such as allowing extra time, using captions where available, sharing materials in advance, or agreeing a simpler way to join the call;
- adjusting an in-person session at your home, such as the way exercises are explained or paced, the timing of the session, or other practical arrangements for the visit;
- sending information ahead of a session in a format that works for you; or
- another reasonable adjustment that would help you take part.
6.2 Access for in-person sessions. In-person sessions take place in your own home, so there is no venue for you to travel to. If anything about the space you have, such as room to move, stairs, or flooring, would make a session harder, tell us in advance and we will plan around it or discuss alternatives with you, including delivering your sessions online by video call.
6.3 You do not need to share a diagnosis or health detail to ask for an adjustment, and you will never be treated less favourably for asking. Asking for an adjustment is separate from the health information every client provides before sessions begin, which is described in our Terms of Service. Tell us as much or as little as you are comfortable with, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Anything you share with us when asking for an adjustment is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
6.4 To request an adjustment, contact us using the details in section 7. We aim to respond within five (5) working days.
7. Reporting a problem, and our contact details
7.1 If you find a part of the Website that is not accessible, or you meet any barrier when using the Website or the Service, please let us know. Your feedback helps us put things right and improve. When you contact us, it helps if you can tell us:
- the page address (the web address) or the part of the Service involved;
- what the problem was; and
- the assistive technology, browser, or device you were using, if you know it.
7.2 Contact us using whichever of these suits you best:
- Piotr Kardas, trading as HealthySwitch.Me (a sole trader), responsible for the Website and the Service.
- Email: contact@healthyswitch.me
- Correspondence address: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF
7.3 We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports and requests within five (5) working days.
8. If you are not satisfied
8.1 If you have contacted us about an accessibility problem or a request for an adjustment and you are not happy with our response, you can raise it through our Complaints Procedure.
8.2 The Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) gives free, independent advice to people in England, Scotland, and Wales on issues covered by the Equality Act 2010, including accessibility and reasonable adjustments. You can find the EASS, including its free helpline, at www.equalityadvisoryservice.com. Contacting the EASS is entirely optional and does not affect any of your legal rights.
9. How we prepared this statement
9.1 This statement is based on our own self-assessment of the Website against WCAG 2.2 level AA. The self-assessment was completed on 3 September 2026 and combined automated testing of the main pages at three screen sizes with manual keyboard and contrast testing. We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit. If that changes, we will update this statement to reflect it.
9.2 We review this statement from time to time, and after any significant change to the Website, and we will update it as we make improvements or learn of new issues.
This statement takes effect from 1 October 2026.
